C'mon guys, I should have had more stuff in this post after a few months of asking for prompts than this.

Title: Method of Speech
Fandom: FF7
Characters: Seph/Zack
Words: 253
Note: Seph has odd thinking.

Sometimes, Zack utterly baffled him.

Alright, that was perhaps incorrect.

Usually Zack utterly baffled him, and this afternoon was most certainly no exception. The man was, after all, a specialist in the certain kind of tortiloquy that left him at a loss so much of the time.

Now it was just a matter of time in which he had to wait until his puzzlement was realized, and the explanation would come forth. Not, that is to say, that it would truly clarify the matter, but at least then Zack would be trying harder to get him to understand instead of enthusing.

And the man would be paying attention to him again, which was good, because it was always nice to know he was captivating enough to manage that.

Especially when, for once, the captivation had little to do with how very different from others he was, and more to do with him personally. It was a very nice sensation to have, and, if he was truly honest, why he usually had such difficulty understanding these matters.

It was so much easier to keep his pleasure in the attention low key if he didn't try overly to decipher the man, and that, in turn would keep him from getting too smug about it. Not to say he didn't try, he just didn't try so hard as he could.

In any case, it didn't matter, as the man had clearly caught his confusion and had turned his attention to him.

It worked out well enough.

Title: Letter
Fandom: GW
Character: Treize
Words: 342
Note: Set in the Treze/Heero verse

The letter wasn't terribly remarkable. For him, it was very pointed, or at least seemed to be. It also seemed to pertain to matters far too low on the caliber of notice for him to even be dealing with. There were some, at least, that were aware of his odd inclinations, and those people always allowed him his fixation on details, deeming it something to do with his noble blood. Thus it was never asked why he would concern himself with something of this kind.

They knew it would be to their benefit to allow him eccentricity, even as they knew that he was very choice in when it revealed itself. This particular shipment would likely be getting far more attention than it was truly worth if for no other reason than he'd signed the papers.

Shaking his head over the oblivious nature of those ranking outside his personal faction, and was gratified his rising star at least seemed to have determined what he was doing, he read back over the carefully worded note.

It was a simple set of orders that he'd gone outside of the forms to write, and he'd been very careful to use the word dove somewhere in the typeface. It was, essentially, giving personal notice to a group of soldiers he'd never deemed worth attention before just so that he could send out a message.

He wasn't giving the boy any vital information, of course, but that wasn't the way they did things. No, it was a personal missive carefully hidden under a public piece of filing. He had confidence in the boy's intelligence to know it was for him, and that he would be able to decipher it. He hadn't misinterpreted any prior and his actions reflected the subtlety to let him have confidence in that deduction.

But, he was still a General, as he always was, and the quiet tap on the door with a questioning "Sir?" was enough to let him know his time of meditation was quite finished for the moment. Unfortunately so.

Title: Progress
Fandom: FMA
Characters: Roy/Alex
Words: 158
Note: This is set at some point after The How

"You've taken the family technique to new heights Roy. So much more subtle than my own glorious approach. Much better suited to you than the method I showed you before."

He laughed, giving Alex a sly look before shaking his head. "Did you just call me diminutive? No matter, have you seen the looks when I use it? It's the perfect effect..."

"Too perfect perhaps." A large hand rested on the smaller man's shoulder with the quiet words, only lingering a split second ago before he was moving off down the hall. "If you have time I would be honored to come collect you this evening."

Aware of the slight audience they were drawing, but also aware he'd baited the man, he smirked just slightly. "I'm sure I have a date tonight."

A glance back with the gruff "So you say" was enough for him to relax. He'd be ready when the man came to collect him later.

Title: Made a friend
Fandom: FF7
Characters: Taste of New's Cloud and his mom
Words: 235
Note: It comes directly after that fic, for the curious, tis fluffy cute.

She heard the door close loudly, and knew that meant her boy was finally back. Sometimes the boy ended up being out late, but she didn't really blame him, not with the way most of the village kids acted. She'd rather he be safe than brave the bullies just to be home faster.

Of course, that always meant she was ready to offer him soothing words when he got home too. Though it seemed today that wasn't really going to be needed, the child practically flying as he came to hug her around the waist.

"Mom! Guess what?"

She hadn't seen him smiling like that in a decently long while, and it made her smile too. "What?"

"I made a friend! He's bigger than me, and he's really nice."

Leaning down, she picked up her son, walking with him to the kitchen so she could heat dinner. "Really?"

"Really really!" A nod accompanied his enthusiastic reply, and her smile grew a bit.

"Anyone I know?" She sat him on the counter, then moved to get down some plates.

"Nuh uh. But I'm supposed to meet him again soon though! I'll try tomorrow, kay?"

She set dinner on the table, then moved over and collected her boy to sit him in a chair. So her little boy finally made a friend huh? Well, that was a good thing. "Alright. You tell me how it goes."

"Kay!"

Title: Bikes
Fandom: FF7
Characters: Zack/Cloud
Words: 100
Note: Drabble-fu!

He grinned at the feel the blond clinging to his back. After the initial startle the kid had been more than happy to be there. In fact, he was dead certain he'd heard some laugher. He was glad though, better for the guy to be enjoying himself than terrified.

Especially after the cliff jump he'd done.

To that, there was either freaking or calm, and Spike had thankfully vouched for calm, though the guy had smacked the back of his head surprisingly hard in rebuke.

He was still smarting from that, but that was okay, because he was having fun.
