... ... WTF world.

I was at work yesterday and totally had a moment of 'you can't be serious.' It was over, of all things, a word.

I work in an employee dining room at a casino, so I see all the employees, right? Well, this one lady saw me out on the main floor, and then when she turned around, I'd ducked into the back to check the food right in front of her.

Cheerfully, in an attempt, admittedly somewhat silly, to make her smile, I went "Look, I teleported!"

She made a 'what?' noise at me so I repeated myself.

At which point she asked "What's teleported?"

....Suffice it to say I was very very unsure how to react aside from explaining, and wondering how the hell someone had never heard that word before.
